YR HEN FANC Sefydlwyd gan Walter a Jeffreys Wilkins i ariannu'r porthmyn a'r meistri haearn yn De Cymru ac i dalu cyflogau i weithfeydd haearn Cyfarthfa, Penydarren a Dowlais ym Merthyr a gweithiau Abernant yn Aberdâr. Hyrwyddodd adeiladu camlesi Aberhonddu a Morgannwg a'r rheilffordd o Aberhonddu i Merthyr yn 1859. Yn 1890 cyfunodd â Banc Lloyds. THE OLD BANK Founded by Walter and Jeffrey Wilkins to finance the drovers and iron masters of South Wales and to pay the wages for the iron foundaries of Cyfarthfa, Penydarren and Dowlais at Merthyr and the Abernant works at Aberdare. It promoted construction of the Brecon and Glamorgan canals and the 1859 Brecon to Merthyr railway. In 1890 it merged with Lloyd's Bank. 1778
