The Grand National 1977 Red Rum Some horses come some horses go, whose names will last for years. And one of these is with us now whose feat brought floods of tears. Three times he won round Aintree and his spirit did not fade. He was sublime and gentle and a touch of class displayed. So let us not forget this horse. Stand up and beat the drum. When tales of Aintree shall be told, the answer is Red Rum. April 2nd 1977
