The Weeping Ash This former postoffice, which incorporated a telegraph room and telephone exchange, opened in 1913. The building stands on land which was part of a much-admired Victorian garden, belonging to the house across the road. The garden was well known for its many fine trees and shrubs, particularly for its magnificent weeping ash. These premises were refurbished by J D Wetherspoon in November 2010.
