Daisy the Alligator Local legend Diana Dors was the leading lady in the 1955 comedy romance, 'An Alligator named Daisy' which saw an aspiring songwriter forced to adopt a pet alligator. The gentle love story follows Daisy as she causes mayhem for her new owner, and goes on to win a beauty contest. 'Daisy the Alligator has been sculpted by Owen Cunningham, commissioned by Shanly Homes as part of the "Maidenhead Memories Sculpture Series"
