Sir Watkin Williams-Wynn

This house dates from the late 18th century when it was built as an inn, "The Wynnstay Arms" (later "Cross Foxes"), by Sir Watkin Williams-Wynn , allegedly for electioneering purposes, when the rival houses of Powis and Wynnstay were fighting for political representation of the County of Montgomery
