대한예수교 장로회 남대문 교회

남대문교회 한국의 개신교는 1884년 9월 20일 미국 북장로교 선교사 알랜이 재물포에 도착함으로 시작되었다. 남대문 교회는 1885년 4월 10일 알렌이 재동에 세운 광혜원에서 태동되었다. 1887년 재중원이 구리개로 이전되면서 선교사 헤론을 중심으로 열심히 전도하여 은연중에 교회가 설립되었다. 병원과 공존하던 남대문교회는 1910년 12월 4일에 세브란스 병원 구내에 교회당을 헌당하였으나 1950년 6월 25일 동란으로 소실되었고 현재의 교회당..
