Glen Cinema Disaster

The Glen Cinema. The Glen Cinema formed one section of the Good Templars' Building and was entered form Dyers' Wynd. On Hogmanay 1929, it was packed with children when smoke was seen in the projection room. In the ensuing panic 69 children lost their lives. they are commemorated by a monument in Hawkhead Cemetery
