Hill (1886 -1977) CH OBE FRS Physiologist and Nobel Laureate Brackenbury Professor of Physiology, The University of Manchester 1920 - 1923 Shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Otto Meyerhof in 1922 for discoveries relating to the energetics of muscle contraction. Hill was one of the founders of the interdisciplinary science of biophysics.
