Royal Society of Chemistry National Historic Chemical Landmark Former site of the Royal College of Chemistry (1845-1872) The College was modelled on Liebig's Laboratory at Giessen, Germany by AW Hofmann. Here, Hofmann inspired the young to do great things in chemistry, and relate them to both academic and everyday life.
