Bethnal Green Tube Disaster

Site of the worst civilian disaster of the Second World War. In memory of 173 men, women and children who lost their lives on the evening of Wednesday 3rd March 1943 descending the steps to Bethnal Green Underground air raid shelter. Not forgotten.
