Ary dos Santos

José Carlos Ary dos Santos, often known as Ary dos Santos, was a Portuguese poet and lyricist celebrated for his contributions to popular music. Born in Lisbon in 1937, his creative journey began early, with a book of his poems published by his family before he reached adulthood. Though his first official collection, 'A liturgia do sangue', was released in 1963, it was his work as a lyricist that brought him widespread recognition.
