Monas

Monumen Nasional, often shortened to Monas, is a significant bus rapid transit station situated on Medan Merdeka Barat Street in Central Jakarta, Indonesia. Its name derives from its proximity to the National Monument, located to the east of the station, while the National Museum of Indonesia lies to the west. Although the station shares its name with the iconic monument, its location means visitors aiming to reach the monument complex's entrance are often advised to disembark at nearby Balai Kota or Gambir 2 stations.

Monas BRT station functions as a key hub within the transit system. Since March 4, 2023, it has been operating as a central station. This temporary role reflects current system adjustments, including the rerouting of several corridors like 2 and 3, in response to the expansion needed to manage increased passenger numbers. This situation is influenced by temporary low-capacity facilities at other nearby stations, such as Harmoni, during Jakarta MRT construction.
