This plaque was unveiled on 20th August 1986 by the chairman of Warwick District Council, Councillor John A. Morley to mark the 200th anniversary of the original Abbotts Saline Baths. Opened on this site in 1786 by William Abbotts, landlord of the Black Dog Inn, the baths were the first of many in Leamington Spa to be used commercially
