Wheal Basset Stamps Engine House

Wheal Basset Stamps Engine House. This 1868 building housed two 30-inch cylinder rotative beam engines that drove 96 heads of stamps for crushing ore. After becoming part of Basset Mines Ltd in 1896, the dressing floors were mechanised and worked until the mine closed in 1918. Mineral Tramways.
