Stonefield School

Photograph at the Stonefield School bronze plaque

This plinth commemorates the site of the former Stonefield School opened 3rd September 1906. The decorative terracotta panel displayed was one of a series located on the apex of each of the distinctive red brick gables of the school. To the rear of this plinth stands an example of the original cast iron railings and brickwork that once enclosed this site. The school was replaced with the South Wolverhampton & Bilston Academy in 2012.
