St. Augustine's Abbey Garden

St Augustine's Abbey Garden This garden was presented to the city of Canterbury in 1977 by the trustees St Augustine's Abbey Precincts Recovery Fund. On the initiative of the late Canon J W S Tomlin (Warden of St Augustine's College) and others, the fund was raised by public subscription with the purpose of making more beautiful the surrounding to the Abbey and providing a garden for the enjoyment of citizens and visitors to the city.
