Old Swan Inn

Romsey Working Men's Conservative Club. Members Only. These premises stand on the site of the Old Swan Inn one of the oldest licensed premises in the town. It is recorded that in the year 1642 two soldiers from Cromwell's Army were hanged from the wrought iron sign bracket on this wall. The bracket is a good example of Hampshire wrought iron work.
