Market Place, Longridge

Photograph at the Market Place, Longridge blue plaque

Market Place Developed as an extension of the original small settlement around St. Lawrence's church. By the end of 18th century it had become the focal point for the farming community. This building was first a handloom weaving centre, then a music hall, a cinema and a roller skating rink. It reopened as a cinema in 1976.
