Birthplace of John James Fenwick 1846-1905 Educated at the Corporation School in Tower Street, Richmond. Served as draper in Stockton-on-Tees and Newcastle-on-Tyne. In 1882 founded the firm which bears his name in Northumberland Street, Newcastle and Bond Street, London W.1.
