Newbury Town Hall was built 1876-81 and extended in 1909-10 according to the plans of local architect James H. Money (1834-1918) who was responsible for about 30 buildings in Newbury and 70 in West Berkshire. His other Newbury buildings include Church & Child's Almshouses, Falkland Memorial, Oddfellows Hall, Phoenix Brewery, and Speenhamland School. Also Hungerford Town Hall.
