Ferry crossing River Severn Worcester

Photograph at the Ferry crossing River Severn Worcester stone plaque

A ferry has operated at this point on the river for many centuries, carrying passengers between the Cathedral Watergate and the Chapter Meadows on the opposite bank. It crossed every day until the late 1950's. The service was restarted in 1983. Running during summer weekend afternoons. The proceeds are given to local charities.
