Eugen Gerald Marcuse Radio Pioneer G2NM was the first to transmit short wave broadcast programmes to the Commonwealth in 1927 from his station 2NM in Caterham, Surrey. Made the first radio telegraph contacts between Great Britain and Brazil and California and the first radio telephone contacts with New Zealand June 4th 1886-April 6th 1961
