Eric Fred Brook born Mexborough 1907 died Manchester 1965. One of the greatest professional footballers of his generation. Barnsley 1925-28 Manchester City 1928-39 England 1928-37. Held the record as Manchester City's highest goalscorer (177) between 1939-2017
