Clarkson Rose 1890-1968 Variety Performer, Songwriter, Impresario and Manager. "Clarkie" first appeared at the Mechanics Institute, Dudley in 1905. His Summer Show, "Twinkle", ran for over 40 years. Renowned Traditional Pantomime Dame. Appeared in the Royal Variety Performance King Rat of the Grand Order of Water Rats. Born 8 December 1890, Dudley. Died 23 April 1968, Eastbourne.
