Prescott Hill. The drive to Prescott House was proposed as a speed hill climb course by the engineering historian L.T.C. Rolt. Prescott Estate was purchased in 1937 on behalf of the Bugatti Owners' Club by Colonel Godfrey M. Giles, Chairman and his brother Eric Giles at the suggestion of Cecil Clutton of the Vintage Sports Car Club. The first competitive meeting took place on May 15th 1938
