RNLI Torbay Lifeboat Station Brixham 2016 This station was established in 1873 and has served Torbay since that time. The first lifeboat on station was the 'City of Exeter' generously funded by the people of Exeter. The first 'Motor Lifeboat' on station was the "Alfred and Clara Heath" in 1922. This plaque marks 150 years of voluntary service since the first Brixham Lifeboat Station opened at Bolton Cross on 3rd October 1866.
