HMS Mercury This building was originally The Green Dragon public house which was the 'local' for the nearby naval married quarters that were occupied by personnel serving HMS Mercury, the Royal Navy Communications and Navigation School that occupied the 120 acre Leydene Estate 7 miles north of here from 1941 to 1993
