This plaque records the 1995 Civic Trust special mention award to Braunston Marina for its contribution to the improvement of the environment by restoring, conserving and giving new life to this historic canal dockyard. The plaque was unveiled on the 9th February 1996 by the Rt. Hon. Lord Lawson of Blaby P.C. Chancellor of the Exchequer 1983-89
