David Blagrove MBE 1937-2016. This plaque commemorates his Braunston years 1962-2016. Firstly as a working boatman for the Willow Wren Canal Carrying Company 1962-1984. And thereafter as a Braunston canal historian and waterways enthusiast. He attended all the Braunston boat shows 1991-1999 introducing the rally of historic narrowboats and all the Braunston historic narrowboat rallies in his lifetime 2003-2016.
