Betsy Grimbal's Tower

Betsy Grimbal's Tower. The West Gate, one of the entrances to the Abbey, dates from the fifteenth century. Its popular name is probably a corruption of Blessed Grimbald, a ninth-century saint revered by the Benedictines.
