This commemorates the 150th Anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone of the New College of the Free Church of Scotland by Principal Thomas Chalmers on June 3 1846. Within its walls as Church College and the Faculty of Divinity of the University of Edinburgh, generations from many lands studied theology and religion in preparation for Christian ministry and service in the wider community.
