Mary Pickford

Mary Pickford (1902-2002) FRS FRSA physiologist Professor of Physiology, University of Edinburgh from 1966-1972. The first woman appointed to a Professorship in the Medical School at the University of Edinburgh, Pickford made major contributions to the understanding of the regulation of hormone release from the pituitary gland.
