George Dixon

George Dixon (1820 - 1898) Councillor, Mayor, MP and Freeman of Birmingham. Proponent of the Elementary Education Act 1870. This building was occupied by George Dixon Higher Grade School in its early days and was formerly Oozells Street Board School.
